Overview

Located 20 minutes south of Nashville in Williamson County, this charming, upscale city ranks as one of the wealthiest cities in the entire country when compared to the region’s overall cost of living. It’s distinguished for being one of Nashville’s most desirable and sought after suburbs. Of course, Brentwood is so much more than just another “bedroom” community. While many residents commute to Nashville for work each day, Brentwood has made serious moves in recent years to provide business and office space opportunities within its own city limits — like the 5-million-square-foot Maryland Farms office complex.

Things to Do

Because of its location, families in Brentwood have easy access to both the urban excitement of downtown Nashville and the tranquility and outdoor recreational opportunities that come with living outside the city. There are multiple greenways and park spaces in Brentwood, including Crockett Park, River Park, Deerwood Arboretum and Nature Area, Marcella Vivrette Smith Park among many others. And that’s just within the city limits! Brentwood is also just a stone’s throw away from Percy and Edwin Warner Parks, Radnor Lake State Nature Area and the Park at Harlinsdale Farm.

Brentwood is also a prime destination for shopping, which ranges from popular national retailers like REI, TJ Maxx and Nordstrom Rack, independent boutiques and shops, like Pear Tree Avenue Gifts, Hot Pink, and Paper Source. Located just south of Brentwood is Cool Springs Galleria, a massive shopping mall that was recently upgraded after a year-long renovation project. All that shopping is bound to work up an appetite. Don’t miss Brentwood’s collection of highly rated restaurants, including Southern-style steakhouse Meres Bulles, relaxed pizza joint Bricks Cafe, and favorite neighborhood restaurant, Soy Bistro.  The CityPark Brentwood complex houses many great dining options such as Blaze Pizza, 55 South, Just Love Coffee and Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe. While just across the street, Hill Center Brentwood features Puffy Muffin, Del Frisco’s Grille, Uncle Julio’s, CHOPT, Mooyah Burgers, Chipotle, Starbucks, Jason’s Deli, Nama Sushi, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, as well as The Fresh Market. For a great dessert, visit Crumbl Cookies, one of our new favorites!
