Dixie Maggart

Dixie first moved to Nashville from Greenwich, CT in 1996 as a freshman at Vanderbilt University. She spent time student teaching in many Nashville area schools, while she earned her education degree. After graduating, she went on to live in New York City and Miami (where she earned her masters degree). She then moved to Tampa, Palm Beach and Winter Park with her husband, a third generation Nashville native.

With their school aged daughters, they made their way back to Nashville in 2014. Dixie was an elected member of the parents association boards of Oak Hill School, Currey Ingram Academy, and St. Mary’s School. She has served on the alumni committee for Vanderbilt, been a volunteer and committee member for various nonprofits including Music and Masterpieces, Land Trust of Tennessee, Antiques and Garden show, Franklin Road Academy, Kents Hill School and is a Friend of Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and Warner Parks.

Dixie brings a unique understanding of homes and design, having been a consultant for her mother’s Palm Beach and Hamptons based interior design firm. Using her eye for design and understanding of the real estate market, she enjoys staging homes and preparing them to sell for the best possible price. She especially enjoys helping families that are new to the city find their perfect Nashville home.
