About Cathy East

Cathy East is a fourth-generation Nashvillian who brings a unique perspective to real estate, as she has witnessed the transformation of Nashville and Brentwood firsthand.

 

Cathy grew up in the historic Richland, Belle Meade, and Hillwood areas of Nashville before moving to Brentwood in the mid-1970s. She attended Parmer School, St. Paul Christian Academy, Brentwood Academy, and the University of Mississippi, where she received a B.A. in English. After attending Ole Miss, she came back to Nashville to teach high school English and coach volleyball, basketball, and track at Brentwood Academy.

 

She later worked at Vanderbilt Law School in the Admissions Department.

 

Cathy spent over thirty-five years giving back to her community as a community volunteer with the Junior League of Nashville, Friends of Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Cheekwood, Oak Hill School, Brentwood Academy, and MBA. She co-chaired many fundraisers in Nashville, including The Junior League of Nashville’s Decorators’ Showhouse, Steeplechase, and Swan Ball Auction, where she gained extensive training and experience in fundraising, logistics, special events, marketing, and management.

 

Her experience, coupled with her love and knowledge of the greater Nashville area, will make her an asset in the real estate community.

 

Cathy and her husband, Van, have been married for 34 years and have raised their two children here. They have a four-year-old Labrador retriever and a one-year-old granddaughter. Besides her family and friends, Cathy loves Ole Miss football, Rock Island, Amelia Island Plantation, Vanderbilt, Baylor University, BA, MBA, Richland Country Club, Cheekwood, and anything chocolate.
